I’m so excited to be teaming up with Susan from Motivated Moms just in time for the New Year! Susan has a chore planner that has helped me stay on top of my household chores for the last 2 years! And now thanks to Susan I have the chance to bless one of you with this great planner!
If you haven’t heard of this planner before, then let me fill you in. Motivated Moms is a chore planning system to help you have a clean and organized home and still have time for yourself. It is an easy system to help you know what to do each day. Just consult the list, do the work, check it off for the day and enjoy your free time!
A Little More Info...
- It is available as a printable eBook which can be downloaded and then printed. Or you can just view it from your printer. Perfect for those of you that have to physically cross things off a list! (Click on images to get a larger view.)
- It is also available as an app from iTunes, Google Play or Amazon. With the apps you can add unlimited custom tasks and assign tasks to people and rooms., which in turn you can then sort. I LOVE these additional features of the app! (Click on images to get a larger view.)
I can’t say enough about this chore planner. I’m the type of person who will start a project that will lead to another project and then to another. In the end it would seem like I just made a bigger mess and nothing got done. This would often leave me feeling overwhelmed, frustrated and like a terrible housewife. Once I started using this planner I only allowed myself to do what was on the list, which has eliminated a lot of my frustrations. On days I didn’t get something done I let it go, knowing that it would show up again.
To top it off, I don’t know about you but making a list was time consuming in and out of itself. Not only was it time consuming, but I was forgetting things that I needed to do to maintain my household, like changing the air conditioner filter. With the list already created for me, it help me feel good about myself for keeping up with just the few chores I had to complete that day.
The last 2 years I have been using the printable version, but this year I’m going to try out the iPad app. (Click on images to get a larger view.)
As you can see from my picture above, every week I was already going through and assigning different chores by color coding. I’m looking forward to taking advantage of the app features, especially the sorting feature!
Overall, this is a great system to help you stay on top of your household chores and still have free time in your day! I highly recommend it!

The dishes...they never end
ReplyDeleteMopping the floors:)
ReplyDeleteleast favorite chore? BATHROOMS...I have a house full of boys! Ick.
ReplyDeleteEver since I got my steam mop for my birthday, mopping floors hasn't been too bad for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure there is a specific chore that I detest but the remembering them before someone mentions it and I feel like a horrible housekeeper.
ReplyDeleteIroning.
ReplyDeletecleaning the bathtub!
ReplyDeletei can't stand ironing.
ReplyDeleteUrg. Ironing is definitely the pits!
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
ReplyDeleteLaundry with cleaning bathrooms being a close second!
ReplyDeleteBathrooms
ReplyDeleteCleaning out the diaper pail! ugh...
ReplyDeleteBathrooms.... sigh....
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I think that doing the laundry and everything that the job entails is the absolute worst chore in the house. I don't mind cleaning my bathroom because it is just the two of us using it, but the boys bathroom is another story. That one is the punishment chore when the boys are extremely naughty. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't like bathroom cleaning!
ReplyDeleteI hate cleaning the bathrooms!
ReplyDeleteI hate cleaning the bathrooms!
ReplyDeleteMy least favorite chore is cleaning the bathrooms unless you count decluttering as a chore. I am a pack rat! I really need help in the cleaning department. I have been slacking and my hubby wants me to create a schedule so this might help if I won it.
ReplyDeleteSweeping and mopping floors are my least favorites!
ReplyDeleteSweeping and mopping -- with 5 littlies under the age of 6, it is a constant chore! I'm envious of your steam mop! Maybe I should ask for that for Christmas...
ReplyDeleteI loathe doing dishes, it's the one thing that bottlenecks the most at my house!
ReplyDeletemy least favorite chore is cleaning up the piles and piles of paper that never ever seem to go away
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I hate cooking the most. I love eating, I don't even mind the cleaning up, but the shopping, meal planning, cooking etc is the bane of my life!
ReplyDeleteI hate cleaning the kitchen...I fee like it is NEVER ending!!!
ReplyDeleteI've entered already but have a question - the rafflecopter says eBook or iPhone/iPad/iPod touch version. Can the winner choose the version available as an app through Amazon or Google instead? Or is it only those listed?
ReplyDeleteThanks! :) I have used their paper charts before and am really excited that they have it as an android app now!
I hate picking up kids toys. Especially the sets with little pieces.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Google Play and Amazon do not have a mechanism in place for promotional copies of the Android app.
ReplyDeleteCleaning toilets! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLaundry. I don't mind washing it but folding it, not my favorite chore to do.
ReplyDeletelaundry!!!! it never ends!!!
ReplyDeletelaundry - it seems to take forever and is never D.O.N.E.
ReplyDeleteI hate mopping the floors! It seems you do it and when you are done you have to do it again when you have little kids as they are always making things dirty. lol ;)
ReplyDeleteplanning meals- I hate it! I swear I spend half my life trying to figure out what's for dinner.
