Day 12- Empty

You’ll use this lesson on Easter. You’ll be using the twelfth resurrection egg, which is orange (color may vary) and will be empty.

Before you do the lesson we recommend that you read a short segment about the Garden of Gethsemane. We will be using The Beginner’s BibleAffilated link. (pg. 456-458), The Jesus Storybook BibleAffilated link. or Read and Share: The Ultimate DVD Bible - Volume 2 (pg. 188-191).Affilated link.

Talk with your child about the story:
Finally the best part of the Easter story!  Today is the day we’ve been waiting for!  We’ve have come to our final egg.   Let’s look inside.  What did you find?  Nothing!  Do remember what was empty in our story?  Jesus’ tomb.  Do you know what happened to him?  Jesus rose from the dead.  He kept his promise.

Additional Activities:

I came across a great recipe for Resurrection Rolls on Women Living Well last year. Not only does it provide a visual, but they taste pretty good as well!  We will definitely be doing this again this year.
