We will be learning all about The Farm this week. Below are a couple of our favorites books that we have read, so far:
is an all time favorite in our house. This story is about a spider who is busy spinning her web. Lots of farm animals try to get her to do something with them, but she is just too busy. My son really loved the different farm animals, but he also loves the fact that he could feel the web the spider was spinning on each page of the book. This is definitely a book to add to your home collection. (Here’s a fun tactile craft that we did with this book last year.)
is cute story about Mrs. Wishy-Washy and how she loves to wash. In this story a few of her farm animals get tired of it and decide to run away from her and her tin tub. The cow, pig and duck decided to head for the city, but soon discover that there is no place like home. This book has a fun rhyming text, which I always like in a preschool book. Make sure to pick it up at your local library if you get a chance.
